John Lamb Insurance Broking Director Paula Steele has worked in the financial services industry for 40 years. Her extensive knowledge and expertise extends across all areas of financial planning, enabling her to deliver comprehensive and cohesive solutions.
Paula uses her experience to resolve particularly complex and challenging issues for individuals and families, and has played an important role in improving standards throughout the financial advice industry over the past few years, contributing regularly to the media.
Paula’s professional accreditations include Chartered Financial Planner and IMC. She is also an affiliate of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Managing Director, Alex is responsible for all operations and marketing actitivites.
Having worked part time for the John Lamb business for the past 15 years, Alex now works full time and is a board member of John Lamb Insurance Broking.
Andrew is Head of Underwriting at John Lamb Insurance Broking. He works closely with clients and insurers, playing a pivotal role in helping deliver a swift and effortless client experience.
Previously the Head of Underwriting for the UK and Ireland at Swiss Re, and a leading independent protection insurance consultant, Andrew has an excellent technical background in underwriting at both insurers and reinsurers. Andrew chaired the 2014 Association of British Insurers (ABI) Statement of Best Practice on Critical Illness and presently he is working with government and regulatory bodies as the Technical Lead on the Access to Insurance Working Group.
Nick is a board member and a qualified chartered accountant with many years of experience in stock broking, investment banking and asset management.
He has spent a large part of his career in the Far East where he worked for JP Morgan and HSBC before establishing a hedge fund of funds business that he sold to LGT Capital Partners. He is a director at Nutmeg and sits as a non-executive director on a number of public, listed company boards including Henderson Far East Income.
Michelle has over 20 years of wealth planning experience, providing wealth structuring and life insurance solutions that enable individuals and families to manage inter-generational wealth transfers effectively.
Working closely with UK and international family businesses, Michelle has resolved complex planning challenges including securing protection solutions for key individuals. Before joining JLIB, Michelle held director level roles at two global private banks with a focus on wealth planning for UK and international HNW and UHNW clients.
Michelle is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). She holds a BA in Economics with French as well as Graduate Diplomas in Law and Quantitative Development Economics and an Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising. She is studying towards a Diploma in Financial Planning and an MSc in Psychology.
Louise has worked in financial services for most of her career, specialising in protection and inheritance tax planning, landed estates and primogeniture estate planning over the last 10 years. With a degree in English, she is studying towards a Diploma in Financial Planning.
Louise is passionate about delivering an exceptional client experience and is skilled in dealing with a plethora of stakeholders to ensure the chosen solution works for all.
Louise is a keen singer and leads the choir for an annual village Christmas carol concert which is attended by over 100 people.
As Head of Operations, Lynn is responsible for all aspects of client service and business support throughout the insurance application process. This includes management of all client data such as sensitive medical information and ensuring that appropriate processes and controls are in place. She also manages the finance and HR activities within the business.
Lynn has 30 years of experience within the financial services industry, most of which was gained in large insurance companies and more recently in the financial advice sector. She has headed up a number of client service teams, delivering a high standard of service in the areas of life insurance, pensions, annuities and investments.
